97WNiFe Alloy Counterweight

97WNiFe Alloy Counterweight Picture

1. What's 97WNiFe Alloy Counterweight?
97WNiFe alloy counterweight is produced by powder metallurgy liquid-phase sintering with approximately 97% tungsten, nickel (Ni) and iron (Fe) powders as binder metals. CTIA's 97WNiFe alloy counterweight features high density, high tensile strength and good ductility, allowing a large counterweight mass within a compact volume. It is widely used for center-of-gravity adjustment and dynamic balancing in space-constrained applications such as aerospace, automotive racing and precision machinery.

2. Features of CTIA's 97WNiFe Alloy Counterweight
(1) High Density and Small Volume: Density is 18.25–18.85 g/cm³, approximately 2.4 times that of steel and 1.6 times that of lead. Under the same mass the required volume is smaller, suitable for counterweight design within narrow spaces.
(2) High Mass Concentration and Counterweight Efficiency: W content is approximately 97%, enabling greater mass concentration per unit volume, suitable for rotating and precision components with higher requirements for counterweight dimensions, center-of-gravity position and mass distribution.
(3) High Strength and Stable Load-Bearing: Tensile strength is not less than 689 MPa and 0.2% yield strength is not less than 517 MPa, capable of withstanding inertial loads and mechanical stress during operation of rotating components.
(4) Good Vibration Resistance and Operational Stability: High density, high stiffness and relatively high strength help stabilize mass distribution, usable for static balance, dynamic balance, high-speed rotating inertial components and vibration control structures.
(5) Good Machinability and Flexible Structure: Supports turning, milling, drilling, tapping and grinding. Suitable for machining mounting holes, notches, steps, eccentric structures and irregular contours.
(6) Dimensional Stability and High Assembly Precision: Features relatively low linear expansion coefficient. Dimensional change caused by temperature variation is small, suitable for structures with higher requirements for counterweight position, mass distribution and assembly precision.

3. Applications of CTIA's 97WNiFe Alloy Counterweight
(1) Industrial Machinery: Used in machine tool spindles and rotating components, rotors, balancing discs, inertial wheels, vibration control components and automation equipment.
(2) Automotive and Racing: Used in crankshaft counterweights, flywheels, drive shafts, wheel balancing parts, engine rotating components and chassis balancing structures.
(3) Aerospace: Used in aircraft control surface counterweights, gyroscope rotors, satellite inertial components, drone balancing parts, rotor balancing assemblies and flight control mechanisms.
(4) Precision Instruments and Electronic Devices: Used in instrument base counterweights, gyroscopes, motion mechanisms, precision balancing parts, automatic mechanical weights and miniature vibration components.
(5) Oil Drilling and Exploration: Used in downhole tool counterweights, logging instrument counterweights, drilling stabilization members, measurement-while-drilling tools and downhole rotating assemblies.
(6) Sports Equipment: Used in golf club head counterweights, racket counterweights, fishing sinkers, dart shafts and other mass distribution adjustment components.
(7) Medical Equipment: Used in precision motion mechanisms, rotating components and equipment balancing assemblies.

4. Specifications of CTIA's 97WNiFe Alloy Counterweight
