W-Ni-Fe Tungsten Alloy Counterweight

1. What's W-Ni-Fe Tungsten Alloy Counterweight?
W-Ni-Fe tungsten alloy counterweight is heavy-alloy balance component fabricated via powder metallurgy, using tungsten as the matrix with nickel (Ni) and iron (Fe) as binder phases. CTIA's W-Ni-Fe alloy combines high mechanical strength with excellent machinability, delivering maximum mass within compact volume. It is ideal for center-of-gravity adjustment, mass compensation, inertia control, and dynamic balancing in high-precision equipment.
2. Features of CTIA's W-Ni-Fe Tungsten Alloy Counterweight
(1) High Density and Small Volume: Offers a density of approximately 16.5–18.8 g/cm³, enabling greater counterweight mass within limited space for compact equipment.
(2) Relatively High Strength and Structural Stability: Offers a tensile strength of approximately 700–1000 MPa, providing good impact resistance and load-bearing capacity for mechanical equipment and motion components.
(3) Concentrated Mass and Good Balancing Effect: Concentrates greater mass within smaller dimensions, facilitating adjustment of counterweight position and mass distribution for static balance, dynamic balance and inertia control.
(4) Low Thermal Expansion and Dimensional Stability: Maintains stable dimensions with a coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 4–6×10⁻⁶/°C, supporting consistent counterweight positioning and assembly precision.
(5) Good Wear Resistance and Long Service Life: Offers good resistance to wear and deformation, making it suitable for counterweight structures exposed to long-term motion and vibration.
(6) Stable Magnetism for Mechanical Counterweighting: Has certain magnetic properties, making it suitable for mechanical equipment, motion components and inertial systems without non-magnetic requirements.
(7) Good Machinability and Precision Forming: Supports turning, milling, grinding, drilling and tapping, with holes, slots, steps and complex contours machined to suit installation structures.
3. Applications of CTIA's W-Ni-Fe Tungsten Alloy Counterweight
(1) Automotive and Transportation: Used in wheel systems, chassis, steering systems and motion components of automobiles, racing cars and transportation equipment to adjust center of gravity and dynamic balance through concentrated mass.
(2) Aerospace: Used as balancing and counterweight components in aircraft, aero-engines, inertial navigation and satellite-related structures, with higher requirements for high density, strength and dimensional stability.
(3) Mechanical Equipment: Used for counterweighting and balancing of rotating equipment, rotors, flywheels, centrifugal equipment and other motion mechanisms to reduce vibration and operational deviation by adjusting mass distribution.
(4) Precision Instruments: Used as instrument counterweights, calibration blocks, motion mechanisms and precision balancing components to provide stable mass within limited space.
(5) Medical Equipment: Used as counterweight and motion balancing components in medical imaging equipment and related mechanical structures to meet mass configuration needs under compact structures.
(6) Robotics and Automation Equipment: Used for mass balancing and inertia regulation of robotic arms, actuators, moving components and automation devices to improve stability of motion components.
(7) Ocean Engineering: Used as counterweight and ballast components in underwater equipment, marine instruments and related structures to reduce counterweight volume.
